We've got some cool archival imagery (the left half of a spread image!) today from @karlfmcastro , taken from the book "The Philippines" by Gina Lollobrigida (1976).

Here's an aerial view of the CBD towards Ayala Avenue, a hive of construction activity in the 1970s. One can no longer get this unimpeded view of a then more pristine Ayala Triangle from the same vantage point; the vista is now blocked by two favorite Makati bruts, the Locsin Building and its low-slung neighbor the Ramon Cojuangco Building. How many brutalist buildings can you spot? And can one identify another Locsin landmark in this image that no longer exists today?
