A Bay Area treat. Leon Patillo from Leon’s Creation/Santana Solo Concert at The First Covenant Church in San Francisco. I’m guessing this was around Mid 70’s close to the early 80’s.

Beautifully presented and in great shape. No rips; or tears. All four corners do present some scotch tape, but still we’ll preserved.

What a beautiful album this is. The magnificent cover represents a glimpse of Revelation 4 & 5.
So many highlights from this release but the epic instrumental “Trinity” gives way to spontaneous praise. The other song that stands out is “He is Comin”, starts off like a battle hymn then morphs to a beautiful praise song, then returns to the battle hymn intro as a bridge. Amen, Patillo “And we shall see His Face”! What a timely song!

The outro of the album closes beautifully with “Come”.

You might remember @leonpatillo as a lead singer in the @carlossantana Band.

Ещё во время выступлений в составе популярной в 70-х рок-команды "Santana" этот музыкант часто видел перед собой на концертах толпы безымянных и безликих людей, нуждавшихся в поддержке и одобрении. И он решил предоставить им эти самые поддержку и одобрение, покинув группу и начав сольную деятельность. Ангельский голос Леона, а также его юмор и вдохновляющие тексты, приправленные современным на то время поп/рок-звучанием, впоследствии изменили жизни многих людей и попутно принесли ему популярность. На счету исполнителя 1 Dove Awards (плюс 4 номинации), 3 номинации на Грэмми, а также немало прекрасных хитов, в частности, "Cornerstone", "J.E.S.U.S.", "Flesh of my flesh", "Love calling", "The sky's the limit" и др. Вдобавок Леон вёл собственную телевизионную передачу Leon and friends, а также выступал на одной сцене с известными спикерами и политическими деятелями, в том числе, с Колином Пауэллом, Лорой Буш, Рудольфо Джулиани и т.д. А недавно этот неугомонный ветеран запустил проект S.I.N.G., в рамках которого обучает детей христианским ценностям. При этом он продолжает вдохновлять на концертах, семинарах и конференциях также и взрослую аудиторию, оставаясь верным сосудом Божьим.

I stumbled across it last year and was hooked instantly. How this album wasn't huge upon release is beyond me. The title track and "Until You Were Gone" are the type of classic soul- funk numbers that you leave you scratching your head as to how you haven't heard them before. The real gem here is "Mirage" which is an absolutely stellar piece of psych fusion rock. Get this album in your ears and in your life.

"You Should Be Hearing Something....Now!" is an eclectic mish-mash of under the radar, forgotten vinyl and rare nuggets. Every Sunday at 4pm on www.andradio.co.uk.
