Poi is an acquired taste, whose sole ingredient is the root of the taro plant. Definitely, get a small bowl if it’s your first time.
Lomi lomi salmon is shredded salmon with tomatoes,sweet Maui onions, and sometimes scallions.
Scoop some poi and some lomi together and they will balance each other out.

Any who, the pork was definitely made with love. It was nice and juicy, melted in your mouth, packed with flavor type of love. We never had taro leaves but the taro leaves complimented the pork so well!
