Well, there has been little to no progress on the bench press itself. Took about a month off under the bar to focus on pure dumbbell presses to work on the range of motion. Noticed yesterday that my core & upper body stood tighter than usual & felt better on my shoulders than ever before. No progress in terms of strength, but no regression either. (Its ok ive never been strong anyways) Ive actually accidentally dropped to 138 but weight to me doesnt matter much. Last time I was at this weight, I was a scrawny sophomore in HS. I do have a small frame but I look & feel better than ever 📈 The important thing is to put focus on the things that matter in life & use your energy on things that make you happy & make you grow as a person. Think positive & positive things will happen 🧠
The reason for the weight mayyy be bc of these super hot days. Working construction & staying focused on working out can be tough. Sweating & losing water weight as if I was in a sauna from 6a-6p is a bittchhhhh & then heading to the gym passed 9p to come back & sleep for about 4 hrs…. However, im extremely blessed. Life is good, my family & I are healthy & im happy 🤸🏻
