Il secondo lungometraggio di @gabriele.mainetti è immenso, mescola generi e formati diversi dando vita ad un'avventura spettacolare. Seppur non sia un film perfetto, è uno dei prodotti più interessanti del cinema italiano contemporaneo in grado, si spera, di dare una svolta alle modalità di produzione nostrane. L'impasto narrativo è davvero denso, tanti personaggi e sviluppi condensati in più di due ore di film
Freaks Out è una favola e fa sognare, grazie anche ad un cast d'eccezione e ad interpretazioni suggestive che vi regaleranno non poche emozioni. Nessuno è fuori posto. @aurora_giovinazzo è strepitosa nei panni di Matilde, la ragazza elettrica. @ffffranz dà vita ad un cattivo come se ne vedono pochi in giro, incarnando malvagità, dolore e follia. @pietrocastellitto è un personaggio frizzante, divertente e romantico (io mi sono innamorata)

Gilbert Adrian was the head costume designer for Metro Goldwyn Mayer in the 1930s and 1940s most famed for his evening gowns, brought to the forefront by this film in abundance. The film, which features not one male actor in its entirety, centres on female Manhattan socialites, so the fashion is an important part of the production.

Adrian also designed the gowns for a short fashion show the women visit in this film, the only part of the movie that is shot in colour, which prompted people to liken his designs to those of Elsa Schiaparelli, the rival of Coco Chanel. Adrian was all about the glamour, which was perfect for this film, which to put into context is like the olden day Sex and the City.

He was responsible for creating the power woman. He loved working with Joan Crawford and was known to emphasize her shoulders to give women that inverted triangle shape which is seen throughout the movie and replicated throughout the 80’s

The film was revolutionary for its time, in which divorces were not permitted in New York and if you wanted a divorce you would have to travel to Nevada.
