Here I am trying another @dunnesstores Dunnes ice cream. This one being they’re French vanilla.
On the back it has been described as ‘French style vanilla dairy ice cream made with egg yolk and vanilla bean seeds’. This is my first time trying a French vanilla ice cream and initially was very sceptical as I’m not into vanilla with the pods and noticed the ice cream base seems more of a yellow vanilla than a white one, but I put all aside and said I’ll have a go, especially after enjoying they’re millionaire tub. The base melts easily and is easy to scoop. I was surprised to find the flavour resembling a slight custard taste which was nice for a change. It is creamy and smooth which I also enjoyed. The ingredients are overall natural and you can tell by its flavour. It isn’t an overly sweet or dense ice cream and I am surprised at the fact that it isn’t overly unhealthy or by any means a wicked tub, it’s probably a good one if you do plan to have it with a dessert or as a side to pair it off. I thought it would taste awful and like cardboard and glad it was higher than my expectations. Apart from having still some pod pieces it was the kind of flavour I learned to enjoy as I got through it. Ok not my favourite and like all plain vanillas didn’t have any pieces. Still for £2 at a 900ml tub it isn’t bad for what you get so I’ll say 8/10 #icecreamreview #icecreamreviews #icecreamreviewblog #icecreamreviewer #foodni #foodireland #northernireland #northernirishicecream #irishicecream #irishicecreams #vanillaicecream #icecreamuk #irishfood #irishfood #irishfoodie #irishfoodblogger #irishfoodlovers #irishfoodanddrink #irelandfood #lowcalorieirish #dunnesstores #dunnes #dunnesicecream #dunnesstoresireland #dunnesicecream #frenchvanilla #frenchvanillaicecream
