As the title of the game does not suggest, Mezo is a game of confrontation between 4 tribes for the control of 5 territories, taking place over 3 eras. Zone after zone, each player use two powers of his god to influence the forces involved in order to have the majority in 3 possible axes at the end of the phase.
At the start of an era, we reveal a bonus that will run during it. Each player puts his champion (2 pt of force) in one zone, and his troops (in groups of 3 max) in the others. The player moves his god and apply its unique power and then the player's ready for conflicts.
To resolve conflicts, we draw which zone will be settled first, then each player draws 3 cards from his god and choose one. The players take turns using one of the 3 powers on the chosen card to influence this fight and the following ones. After 2 choices, the players see who won the war and move on to the next area.
After the 3 eras,  the winner is the player with the most victory points. No tie ispossible because if a player comes on the VP box of another, he passes in front.
The game is very repetitive and chaotic in its management of confrontations. You try to build something and the other players logically try to  destroy you. It is difficult to be able to analyze and anticipate on the actions of the other players.
Managing the 3 skills of your tribe is a good idea and allows you to test different development paths from one party to another.
Publisher Matagot had spoken of making a French version if the game met its audience in English, but nothing seems confirmed yet. If Mezo fulfills his objective by offering to oppose you on areas, he will not take you into his universe, unlike Mysthea (more tactical) or Zona (more fictionalized).
