After a horrible end to the season with the cancellation of World Champs in Bermuda, I felt all emotions. I was upset and angry that I worked so hard to basically not race.
The thought of going straight back into winter pre season training was soul destroying. I wasn't sure I could do it all again.
But Laura Siddalls words have hit home as I start the new week and start fully training for next year.

I should be sat on a plane headed to World Champs today.
Thing didn't go as planned.
But when do they at the moment? Instead I joined my old athletics club again and went to run about in the mud. I hadn't done a cross country since school so this was a shock to the system.
Bonuses are, I did it and I have woken up with no aches or pains yay.
Now its full off season mode and we will be on a plane to Turkey on Wednesday for some much needed R&R.

The uphill struggle 🏞️
Physically and mentally I am a shell at the moment.
Life as a full time working athlete is exhausting. So the last couple of weeks I have tried to be kind to myself and give time to myself. I am one of those that forever worries about pleasing others but slowly learning to put myself first.
