Back in 1978, she transformed 500 tons of coal waste (which normally ends up as ocean pollutant) in to a rich underwater garden to highlight the waste has on ecosystems and how we need to rethink our behaviours (link in bio). It’s still there today — a living piece of beautiful art 40 miles of New York harbour that you can’t even see. But hopefully we can feel its effect. Thanks Betty — keep on opening our eyes and minds.
