Counting the days when this ECQ v3.0 is over. For some reason, based on my knowledge, ECQ equates to "an alarming rise in covid cases", and that makes most of us anxious and stressed out.

Ilocos cornik and balikutsa will always be part of my childhood. I've always bonded with my great grandmother while removing corn kernels from the cob, yes, everything was done manually at the province in Ilocos back then. They would send us balikutsa and other Ilocos goodies from Ilocos to Manila for our consumption. I was really happy when I had the first taste of Ilocos cornik/chichacorn - I never looked at any other cornik snacks after this. Simple food that gives me simple pleasures.
