Recently we were asked to create a slightly larger #worldmarathonmajors display to be able to showcase you and your loved ones achievements at the same time.

We have been seeing so many posts from the recent LA and NYC marathons and have been commenting away cheering this amazing community on in their achievements. HUGE congrats to all of you putting in the work and getting that well deserved hardware!

This is such an amazing community and we are blessed to be a tiny part of it!

Instead, @nd_fan_in_bama and I were finally able to do some work on my scrapbook/running room. When all your kiddos move out and become adults, it’s amazing how much room you have to do “me things” in. 😉 #emptynestlife I have two new medal racks from @alliedmedalhangers and they look amazing. I like being able to separate my marathon medals (pic #1 ) and my virtual run medals (pic #2 ) from all my other medal racks. The pics above my full medals are from each marathon. Of course, marathon #6 was cancelled due to the ‘Rona, so I printed out my 18-mile post run selfie to suffice for that. Thankful @shamrockmarathon sent the medals for the 2020 race so I could add it to my rack. As much I like these racks, I really love my map which shows all the cities I’ve run in. This customer came to us wanting to modify the display we traditionally make to create a special memento and showcase a slightly different type of award - a mixture of family photos and football tickets!

It all started with people trusting us to help them display their achievements and has slowly transitioned into being able to create other custom meaningful memorabilia displays. We are humbled and grateful you have continued to support our small business and believe in the product we are so proud of and craft with quality products we are proud of.

The second picture is of the initial mock-up of both displays we created for the customer. We then powder coated the display red and the customer added the cork board.

For that reason, we add ribbon clips to all displays with more than one hang bar. No need to stack those hard earned medals, you can simply stagger them at different lengths and display them all with pride!

This mammoth of a display was created for one of our long time customers and a team favorite - @marathonmarkaz [Mark Gershman]

This is what 22 years of hard work and dedication looks like. It showcases medals from more than 125 marathons, countless half’s, 10K’s, and the list goes on. It is 8FT x 4 FT of medals. The even CRAZIER part… it’s almost FULL.

The medal hanger itself was a custom 84” wide USA design featuring 7 separate 84” wide hang bars that are mounted below the header. Mark framed it up himself with 96” of a gigantic wood frame!

We had to create a custom plywood case to ship It in since they don’t make boxes that large and Mark mentioned in his email to us “BTW, the packaging you sent it in was flawless - nothing bent, broken, etc.” which our shipping department took great pride in. Big kudos to the team on this one!

Mark went on to say “BIG THANKS AGAIN for another outstanding product - service, quality, artistry still at 1,000%” and we love to hear the feedback.

Believe it or not, our team draws a lot of inspiration from this community when facing challenges and Mark is someone who has inspired quite a few of us here at Allied Medal Hangers. HUGE congrats to Mark and one of our favorite displays we’ve had the pleasure of creating to date.

Hopefully this can be a big motivator for our community to draw on as well, especially those of you knee deep in marathon season! YOU GOT THIS! We will be cheering you on to add some well deserved hardware to your displays!

A total of 14 medals have been won by the US since the games kicked off on Friday with a whopping 7 Gold medals!

Big shout out to the gold medalist finishers in the 400IM swimming @chasekalisz and the incredible performance of the 4x100m relay team @blakepieroni @bowe_becker @apple_zach @caelebdressel @brooks_010 as well as @leetothekiefer for the performance in Fencing, @w1lliam_shaner with the shooting win, @vincent_hancock and @amberenglish for the skeet shooting golds, and the phenomenal first-ever female gold medalist in taekwondo @ana.zolotic

What an amazing show of athleticism thus far, we look forward to cheering on the remainder of the Olympians!
